Indexes can use various calculations to ensure that constituents properly influence the index according to their weight. The Custom Index supports any of the following:
Weight types:
A ... Additive (just sum up all the prices)
M ... Market Cap (percentage of market cap; add (last price times market cap) for each stock and then divide by total market cap)
V ... Average (sum up the prices and divide total by number of symbols in index)
W ... Custom Weight (client determines the weight of each symbol, assigned a percent value with the collective group of symbols
in the index equaling 100%.
